THE TRILOGY IN A MINUTE

Peter Sloterdijk's Spheres trilogy has three volumes: Bubbles (Volume I), Globes (Volume II), and Foams (Volume III). (Wikipedia)

Very roughly:

Bubbles — intimate spaces: the mother–child pair, couples, shared interiors, the way humans are never really isolated individuals.
Globes — world-images and totalities: metaphysical, cosmological, imperial, philosophical attempts to imagine one whole world.
Foams — the contemporary condition: not one big globe, but many adjacent cells, many coexisting worlds, like bubbles packed together in foam. (Wikipedia)

The core idea: human beings do not simply exist "in space." We produce and inhabit spheres — relational, symbolic, architectural, psychological, political.
